About US

Sky HVAC was founded in 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Since its first day, Sky’s principles for its employees have been straightforward:

Do The Right Thing

Work TogetherGet

Things Done

Following these precepts, Sky has grown rapidly throughout North Carolina and South Carolina to have six locations. In North Carolina, Sky HVAC has offices in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Raleigh, Hickory, and Asheville.  In South Carolina, Sky has an office in Charleston. And more Sky HVAC offices are on the way!

Sky HVAC is on “Inc.” magazine’s List of The 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America, has been certified as A Great Place to Work, has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, and is both a Duke Energy Trade Ally and a Gas Advantage Partner of Piedmont Natural Gas.

By carefully selecting professional and experienced technicians, Sky HVAC has won awards from American Standard, Rheem among others.  Sky HVAC has earned A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and hundreds of 5-star Google ratings.

In addition, Sky HVAC was named a Trade Ally of Duke Energy, a Gas Advantage Partner of Piedmont Natural Gas and was certified as a Great Place to Work.

Sky started its own in-house HVAC apprentice training school.  Named SOAR,  Sky is offering paid HVAC training for people with little or no experience in the HVAC field. Sky’s goal is to produce competent, well-trained HVAC technicians to service its customers across the Carolinas.

Sky HVAC apprentices will receive accredited, industry-leading training and education through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The apprentices incur no training cost and the course materials and books are furnished free by Sky HVAC. The training program lasts three years with graduates receiving regular pay increases throughout the program.  Upon completion, the SOAR apprentices will have nationally recognized HVAC credentials.
