The Sky HVAC preventative maintenance program includes a 21-point inspection twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall. We make sure your HVAC system is running at peak performance by checking amp draws, refrigerant levels, etc., which will save you on energy cost. We inspect critical components (motors, capacitors, condenser coils, and compressor) thus ensuring system reliability.

We will also conduct a full inspection of your duct system to make sure there are no air leaks that can be responsible for reduced airflow.

Highly recommend Sky HVAC! We were having an issue with our AC and called a few companies to get opinions on whether we should repair or replace our system. Daniel from Sky HVAC came out to take diagnostics of our system, and he was wonderful! He was really professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He gave us his honest opinion about our system and didn't try to over-sell us on services and products, which unfortunately many of the other companies we called did. As a result, I trust Sky HVAC much more than any other heating/cooling companies that we've worked with. We will continue choosing them for future services and we recommend everyone else do too! (Especially if you have a Carrier brand HVAC system, which they specialize in.)

Sky HVAC was very responsive to my request for heat pump replacement quote. Brandon arrived on time to give me several options and ensured his bid was very competitive. Both he and Daniel installed my new system professionally and were very respectful of my property during the process. They both were very easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable of their products. I am blown away by the difference the new Carrier system with the duct upgrade that Brandon suggested has increased the comfort in our home. Brandon really knows his stuff. I will be using and recommending Sky HVAC in the future.It does appear that our dog enjoys their work even more than I do.

Very professional crew, great quality and great value. Dorin and Daniel installed my systems. They were able to replace and test my two ACs in less than a day. Very patient with questions and careful with requests. Brendon is very responsive and hands on with each project. Not to mention flexible payment options. From the time I called until I had my system installed took less than a week. Overall seamless experience. Strongly recommended if you live in the Cary area.

Sky HVAC of Cary has just replaced the upstairs condenser, air handler, upstairs thermostat, associated components, and will upsize the return duct for my home. The 18yr old unit recently failed catastrophically. In our case we decided it was best to replace the entire system.I am a chronic over-thinker and spent a great deal of time struggling with the decision of which option and contractor to select. I honestly had several excellent choices.My wife and I elected to award our job to Sky HVAC. Brandon was instrumental in our decision. Sky quoted the type of system and efficiency that we thought was the best fit for our home and lifestyle. They provided an excellent price for the system including addressing our particular concerns and the needs for our home. When I asked for something that was not in our best interest Brandon did not tell me no, or pressure me to change my mind. He quoted what I asked for as well as the correct route. He also provided for me third party information, component specifications, and application information on both options. Reading these it became clear that my preference was not in my best interest, although it would have worked.Sky kept in touch and made it clear that they wanted to do more than install our system but be our HVAC contractor and maintenance partner for the long haul.Sky allowed us to pick the day of the installation. Once selected they gave us a start time.Sky's installation team was not just on-site at the start time. They were unloaded, tooled up and had the components staged in the driveway and beside our home at the start time!They worked through the day, were polite and thorough. To protect our home they laid cloth runners over our floor and stairs from the entrance to the attic where they were working. Each time they entered our home they took the time to remove their shoes at the door. I am sure this got tedious over the many trips but It was noticed and appreciated. When their work was completed the cleaned and removed all trash and debris. After removing their drop cloths they vacuumed the areas they had traveled through and worked in!Our installation did encounter a few challenges. However, Sky handled each hurdle appropriately, quickly, and without drama. This speaks volumes in my opinion and I could not be more pleased.My system has been up and running for just two days. I will follow up after more time but so far I am very pleased and will definitely use them to replace our downstairs system.

I had a complete Carrier heat pump system installed with all the duct work.The lead technicians of Daniel and Cody were outstanding. With me haven been in the trades I had my eagle eye on the installation throughout the process. They did as I expected and went above and beyond to my complete expectations, even down to the Anti-vibration pads that went under the unit. That was something I thought I would add after they left. This was a week long job. At the end of the day I was briefed on the status of what was done and what the plan was for the next day. The entire job site was cleaned up every evening before they left. The system has been running for a week now and we can't be more pleased. The ambient air is equalized throughout the home. We did have mini-splits in the home that left hot and cold pockets in many areas. Thank you for a job well done and to Brandon, our salesman that kept great communications throughout the process. Great job team SKY.

Renting a Property With Block Realty?

Sky Air Conditioning and Heating has provided to all of Block and Associates Realty clients their Sky club membership that is normally $190 for only $175. And any additional systems on the property can be included for only $100 per system. Block and Associates customers will receive a 15% discount on parts and labor for any needed repairs, which will help save a considerable amount of money on your side compared to the competition prices. We care about our customers and want to make sure that you are taken care of.

Prior to each visit your tenants will be notified through email to expect a phone call for scheduling the appointment. After each visit, you will be provided with a report that includes pictures and recommendations, if any. Please understand that if deciding to not proceed with this HVAC maintenance service, premature failures could result as we approach the summer heat, and could lead to your HVAC system not lasting as long.

Sky HVAC Preventative Maintenance Checklist

By choosing our Sky HVAC Energy Saving (Preventative Maintenance) Agreement, we agree to provide you with a complete factory precision tune-up and professional cleaning for your heating and air conditioning equipment. The following tasks will be performed by our HVAC preventative maintenance technicians depending on the type of unit you have.

Outdoor Units

  • Clean dirt, debris, and leaves from inside unit
  • Inspect unit for correct refrigerant level
  • Inspect base pan for blocked drain openings – remove the obstruction and clean if necessary
  • Inspect cabinet and coil – and clean as needed
  • Inspect fan motor – older models may require additional lubricant
  • Inspect fan blades for damage or wear
  • Inspect control box, controls/accessories, connections, and wiring.
  • Controls may include relays, contactors. Capacitors, circuit boards, sump heat, and additional accessories. We will also check the control box and electrical parts for any wear or damage.
  • Inspect the compressor and associated tubing for wear or damage

While Your System is Operating

  • Monitoring of system starting capabilities and characteristics
  • Search for any unusual odors – find the source if found
  • Listen for any unusual or abnormal noise
  • Monitor heat pump system and air conditioning for correct refrigerant charge
  • Measure indoor wet and dry bulb temperature
  • Measure outdoor dry bulb temperature
  • Measure low and high side system pressures
  • Check gas furnace and monitor for correct manifold and line gas pressure – adjust if necessary
  • Measure the rise of temperature and adjust airflow if needed
  • Monitor system for proper line and load amps/volt
  • Check system vent for proper operation
  • Monitor system for correct operation per the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Provide a complete system operation report and recommend replacements or repairs if needed


Indoor Units

  • Inspect the blower housing, assembly, blower wheel, and motor
  • For older models, inspect fan belt and replace if needed – lubricate motor if needed
  • Inspect combustion blower housing for debris and lint
  • Inspect gas furnaces for gas leaks
  • Flush and clear debris or cut and remove obstructions from the condensation drain pan and drain line
  • Inspect evaporator coil for impacted debris, dust, dander, and biological growth
  • Inspect safety controls and ignition system – adjust and clean as needed
  • Inspection of burner assembly – adjust and clean as needed
  • Inspect heating elements or heat exchanger
  • Inspect control box, connections and wiring, and associated controls – tighten if needed
  • Inspection of flue system – check the furnace for proper attachment, signs of corrosion, and any dislocated sections
  • Replace or clean customer-provided air filters
  • Inspect the condition of the airflow system ad airflow from vents (ductwork) – check for air leaks

If you sign up for your Sky membership through us and are billed by us, then the billing terms described below will apply to your membership. If all eligible payment methods we have on file for you are declined for payment of your membership fee, you must provide us with a new eligible payment method promptly or your membership will be canceled. If you provide us with a new eligible payment method and are successfully charged, your new membership starts on the date of payment. If the agreement is cancelled prior to the renewal date, a refund will be issued based upon the services rendered.
UNLESS YOU NOTIFY US BEFORE A CHARGE THAT YOU WANT TO CANCEL OR DO NOT WANT TO AUTO-RENEW, YOU UNDERSTAND YOUR SKY MEMBERSHIP WILL AUTOMATICALLY CONTINUE AND YOU AUTHORIZE US (WITHOUT NOTICE TO YOU, UNLESS REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW) TO COLLECT THE THEN-APPLICABLE MEMBERSHIP FEE AND ANY TAXES, USING ANY ELIGIBLE PAYMENT METHOD WE HAVE ON RECORD FOR YOU.
